Daily Prophet, a Medium clone, is a platform where users can upload stories relevant to any topic they are interested in. Users have the option of attaching an image also if they find it necessary. Stories can receive claps if another user found it helpful or if they just simply enjoyed it.

• Implemented a modal for users to log in and sign up on the splash page without being redirected to another page, taking advantage of Redux's state management.
• Using JBuilder, I maintained a consistent state by structuring the state on the backend before it was used on the frontend.
• Utilized Rails relational database management to create relationships between users, stories, claps, and images, which allowed the display of accurate information for any given story.

Rise is a clothing brand site inspired by Zara. Users can browse categories between men, women, and children. From there they can choose specific articles of clothing to view, add to cart, and then checkout even without creating an account.

• Utilized AWS S3 to implement the photos needed, reducing the server load and allowing for scalability of image usage.
• Constructed RESTful API by utilizing Express framework for queries done on the frontend.
• Achieved backend modeling by utilizing MongoDB as the database and Mongoose for object-relational mapping for model setup.

Study Hall is a learning platform where users can take quizzes from multiple categories and receive mastery points to track their progress.

• Utilized GraphQL to fetch API requests from the backend.
• Achieved backend modeling by utilizing MongoDB as the database and Mongoose for object-relational mapping for model setup.
• Took advantage of Apollo to handle and normalize data received from the GraphQL queries and mutations.

ROYGBIV is a browser game inspired by 2048. Players can move squares with the directional keys (up, down, left, right) or W for up, S for down, A for left, and D for right. Same color squares combine to progress throughout the colors of the rainbow (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet). Combine squares until you get one square to become Violet to win.

• Dynamically created and appended elements directly to the HTML page by accessing the DOM instead of using canvas, allowing a fluid user experience while manipulating the game board.
• Capitalized on using the DOM's event listeners to determine when a game has been won or has ended.
• Dispatched a modal to display game rules by accessing the DOM's event listeners and onClick handlers.
